~ Happy Homes ~

Dominic.

Dominic

Dominic has gone home to Jackie & Marshall of Kalispell.  He showed himself to be the perfect gentleman in his foster home and his family is certainly lucky to have him.  Not only that - he's gorgeous!

We wish you all lots of happy years together.

January 2010

Robin,.

Robin  (reg. Bit of a Lark)

At last.  Robin went home to Vaughn, Montana with Ed, Sharon and gh brother, Jag.  Robin and Jag got to know each other a bit before they left and it was obviously a greyt match.  Word has it that from a distance the two of them were indistinguishable from one another.  Jag is just a bit taller.

Thanks Ed and Sharon for traveling to get this girl - and for giving her a wonderful home.  Please stay in touch.

1/9/10

Basha

Basha (previously Unique)

Unique traveled via GUR (greyhound underground railroad) to her new family in Billings.  With open arms, Cynthia and Doug have welcomed her to their critter family.  Unique joins Keltie, the fox terrier and kitties Jenny & Squeek (who get a wide berth from their new grey sister).

Thanks Cynthia and Doug for making this girl's Christmas wish come true.

We knew when we heard you sent out "new baby" announcements that her dreams had come true.

Welcome home, Unique!

  Unique.

Kaye & Flip Flop.

Godiva James (formerly San Tan Flipflop)

It wasn't a given when we arrived in Deer Lodge that Flipflop would find her forever home there - until Kaye laid eyes on her.  It was a touching meeting which, somehow, felt like a reunion.

She will spend the rest of her life known as Godiva James and will undoubtedly thrive on the love of her new mistress.

We're celebrating with you, Kaye.

Merry Christmas!

Andrea and Pursuit.

Carley  (formerly Pursuit)

If there ever was a greyt match, it sure seems like this is it!  Here's the note that came from happy owner, Andrea last night:

"Just a quick update on Pursuit:  Her new forever name is "Carley". Within the first hour in her new home she was on the couch hoarding toys from Brody.  It was hysterical.  She is such a lover and greeted my husband when he came home from work.  I think things are going to work out splendidly!!  Thanks again for our wonderful new pet!!"

You're SO welcome, Andrea!  We look forward to hearing what games Carley, the gh, and Brodey, the lab/chesapeake boy teach each other.

Pursuit.

Nitro.

Nitro (formerly Nitro Madeulook)
12/1/07

Nitro went home to Shannon and Steve Houck of Missoula.  She joins border collie/lab cross, Sydney and kitty, Mel.

There's no question Nitro feels quite at home already and will undoubtedly  fit into her new couch potato status like a champ.

Welcome home, Nitro!

Nitro.

Rudy.

Rudy (formerly NitroTiny Tim)
Born July 2007

What a wonderful holiday this family will have - and look who's right in the middle looking like he owns them all!  Indeed, he does.  Tiny Tim has been christened Rudy (short for Rudolph).  Rudy went home last Sunday to find a "pile of fuzzy toys that had been gathered in the living room in anticipation of his arrival."  After and an hour and a half of play he settled into his very own big soft fluffy bed for his very first nap as a family member.

Congratulations to the Whyte family of South Dakota.  Thank you for making this pup's Christmas dreams come true!

12/5/09

Millie at her new home.

Millie (formerly: Nitro Rag Doll)
Born: 4/1/2008

We are delighted to tell you that Rag Doll is home. She is the newest furkid of Vic and Donna of Billings, and new grey-sister to Hannah. What a greyt looking pair, huh? And the dogs aren't bad either...

Congrats to all!

RFA 11/8/2009

Xavier.

Xavier (Want to be Cool)

We didn't think Xavier would be available for long - blue dogs rarely are - but we didn't dream he'd be taken in so soon. And we couldn't be more pleased.  Linda and Joe Tritchler drove up from Wyoming, decided he would be a perfect addition to their pack and took him home.

TO Xavier:  Please phone home and tell us about life as a civilian. Welome home, beautiful boy.

TO Linda and Joe:  Thanks a million!

RFA 10/30/09

Paddy.

Paddy (Mesa)

Nothing could make us happier than this photo right here. Our sweet Mesa on his very own bed in his very own home with his very own loving Mom in Kalispell.

Thank you Lorraine! And welcome, welcome, welcome home, Paddy!

RFA 10/4/09

Bella.

Bella (Nutmeg)

Yea! Our Nutmeg not only has a new name, she has a wonderful new family - Terri and Tony of Miles City. Bella wasted no time jumping out of the car at our Three Forks meeting point, standing to be admired by her new mom, and then proceeding to show Terri what a great snoop dog she is! Not much of the parking area went uninvestigated.

Congratulations Terri & Tony. Bella has waited for you for months. We wish you many long, happy years together.

Bella - please stay in touch!

RFA 10/3/09

Luvbug.

Luvbug (Luvbug Donna)

Luvbug went home to Polson today to join Glenn. She will undoubtedly add the same delightful touch of humor to his life that she's added to Dan and Carol's in the time she's been at Run for Adoption. Thanks a million, Glenn, for giving this loving, silly girl a last name.

Welcome home, Luv!

RFA 9/17/09

Dottie.

Dottie (MKC Turnpike > Cami)

We knew when Cami's "foster mom" began to call her Dottie that they were in love. And when she said her traveling hubby wanted to meet her, it was pretty much a done deal. Still, it as exhilarating to get the call. Dottie is home. Our thanks, Elaine & Scott, for making room in your Kalispell home and family for this self assured, delightful girl! We wish you all many happy years together.

Bach.

Bach (Daring Bach)

We guess it's true that you can only get so many kisses from a guy this handsome before you consider yourself claimed. Bach isn't going anywhere. He's home for good right there at the Tripp haven.

Welcome aboard Bach, you lucky boy!

RFA 8/20/09

Mix.

Mix (Ready Mix)

August 2 sure turned out to be Mix's lucky day - his "gotcha" day. His brand new family Rich, Fran, Jamie and Tyler drove from Belgrade and picked him from the pack to be their forever grey.

Congratulations Mix! Send photos and let us know what your new name is.

RFA 8/2/09

Dawkins.

Dawkins (Win it for Me > Corbin)

DOB: 11/7/04

Like we said, he arrived in Montana on July7th. But he only stayed long enough to have his vet work done and gather up plenty of Montana hugs. Now he's off to Nebraska with Brian and Debbie! We were happy to meet you, Corbin. Congratulations on your new home!

RFA 7/11/09

Java Bean.

Java Bean (Nitro Kristen)

Not only did she got a snappy new name, she got a mama who loves her to distraction and two lovely brindle sisters, Zeeba and Boo Zsee.

Congratulations Adrienne.  What a beautiful trio you have!

RFA 7/11/09

Tosha.
Tosha.

Tosha (Nitro Post Time)

Tosha was moved to Billings where Lindy and Caroline picked her up. She is now established in their greyhound family in Circle, MT and we so appreciate the new photos!

You're such a lucky girl, Tosha!

RFA 7/12/09

Mel.

Mel (Milleneum Drive)

LE 32225
RE 45C

Mel's gone home to the Glaspey household in Whitefish to be brother to Q-ball and entertainer to all who meet him.  His terrific personality will be missed at Run for Adoption but we're delighted he's finally landed in a home of his own.

Bo.

Bo (Bohemian Outpour)

LE 17148
RE 13F
DOB January 20, 2003

Bo has gone home to Bozeman as the brand new perfect fit with Lucy and Jonas in Bozeman.  According to Lucy, "Bo seems to be right at home here and invites all the petting she can get. She runs across the floor as if it where carpet and is catching on really fast to stairs. She is just a sweet, sweet girl and is definitely our match."

Welcome home, Bo!

RFA 6/21/09

Parker Dan.

Parker Dan

Parker's new Mom, Judy Graff came and took him home today so he can assume his new role as big GH brother to Slipper Jean and several other non-grey siblings.

This happy-go-lucky boy has given way more than his share as a long term blood bank donor so we are especially delighted that he's found his forever family.

Welcome home, sweet boy. Thanks Judy!

RFA 6/23/09

Ginny.

Ginny  (Ingenuous)

Ginny rode from Bitterroot to Rocker, MT today where we met up with her new mom. Daniel, Lucy and Jonas have so enjoyed Bach in the three weeks they've had him that they came back for seconds!

Ginny and Bach will be ideal companions. Bach, that BIG loveable, laid back boy who is terrified of the slick floors. Ginny, a beautiful petite little gal who is less sure of herself but waltzed right across the floors without a second look. Each will benefit from the other's company - as it should be.

And both are loved to pieces by their new Bozeman family. Life is greyt!

Congratulations to all of you!

RFA 6/12/09

Sunny.

Sunny

A email note from our good friend and placement rep, Dana ...

The contract has been signed and mailed , the adoption fee has been mailed. Sunny's birthday wish has come true. She has found her forever home with her foster family: Dana, Mitch, Slim, Kane, Butter and Howie. She can rest fully at night knowing her hard work in life has paid off and she can, now, fully retire. :)

Judy...take Sunny off the adoption page, she's home at last!

This is officially my second Foster Failure, lol!!!!

6/10/09

Reagan.

Reagan (Kane's Reagan)

Reagan has been welcomed into the home of Katie and her family in Bozeman. Some families who want  a lapdog go for "pocket dogs" - Katie got a real treasure in Reagan. Not only is she an elegant, gentle greyhound, she's more than happy to be a snuggler too.

Thanks Katie, for giving her a home and a lap!

RFA 5/20/09

Slipper Jean.

Slipper Jean (Socks)

Slipper was claimed a few weeks back and has been oh, so patiently waiting to go home. At last she got her wish and, as we suspected, she's absolutely the perfect girl for Judy Graff.

We're going to have to insist this girl phones home often - she won a lot of hearts along the way.

Thanks a million for loving her, Judy.

RFA 5/17/09

Gracie Lou.

Gracie Lou (Island Stranger)

None of we humans knew it was Stranger's special day but when Candy arrived from Helena, the light dawned. In her own timid way she began to sidle up to Candy and by the time for Candy's departure, Stranger was at the gate waiting to go and actually was the first one to the car. She jumped in, made herself at home and was clearly ready to begin the next phase of her life with her new canine brother, Parker.

Once in a while there's a perfect connection made from the very beginning. No question here.

Welcome home, Stranger! Your long wait is over.

GPA 5/16/09

Chevron.

Chevron

In a series of events that seemed too good to be true, our Chevy finds himself in the home of his dreams.  He's the new beloved family member of Jan & Tony Hernandez of Helena. Word has it, Chevy has Tony wrapped around a couple of his paws! He joins GH, Foxy, and three other canine siblings, as well as a kitty.

Welcome home, Chevie!  Send pictures!

GPA 5/16/09

Rain.

Rain (November Rain)

Our lovely blue brindle girl, Rain, has gone home to the Jennings family of Missoula. Rain joined GH sister, Gidget, who will undoubtedly enjoy showing Rain the retirement ropes, and a sweet little pair of peekapoos.

She has all the room to roam and the soft beds a grey could ever dream of as well as a really lovely big back yard for romping.

Welcome home, Rain. And Happy Mother's Day, Kay!

RFA 5/10/09

Nike.

Nike (Team Nike)

Nike is one lucky girl.  She's landed a wonderful home and a very grey savvy family on Flathead Lake - our very own Lou & Donna Elmore and GH girl, Maizy.

Word has it her new family is quite smitten with Nike's gentle nature and are charmed to be, once again, socializing a newly retired hound.

Our best wishes for many delightful years, Nike.  You sure know how to pick'em!

GPA 5/9/09

Waldo.

Waldo

Where's Waldo???  He has made the move to Lakeside, MT and is now a member of the Hoetger family - LeeAnne, Ric and Staffordshire brother, Diesel.  Word is they're settling in fine.

We just couldn't be happier for all of them and can hardly wait for pictures!

Thank you, LeeAnne and Ric.

   RFA 5/9/09

Diesel - Waldo's new brother
Diesel.

Sasha.

Sasha (KW White Shadow)

Well now - seems her daddy, Fred, had a dream a girl named Sasha was waiting for him so he couldn't wait to get his hands on her.  He drove over from Bozeman on Thursday evening, was at the kennel bright and early on Friday morning, declared her his new canine love, and together they headed down the road for home.  She was welcomed into the Spillman family - a Mother's Day surprise for Patti.

This feels like another homecoming where the dog knew where she was headed long before we did.  I've heard of a dog getting "under your skin" but here's one who walked right into their dreams.

Congratulations to all of you!

RFA 5/8/09

Greta.

Greta (Rights of Spring)

It gave us tremendous pleasure to hand over Greta and watch Mary Beth and her Dad heading down the highway toward home!  Greta is a go anywhere, do anything kind of gal who will undoubtedly enjoy all the experiences pet life brings.  There's just not an easier girl to love and, holy cow, did she strike it rich with her new family!

Welcome home, Greta!  Please send pictures.

RFA 5/1/09

Beverly.

Beverly (Boones Sniffles)

Mary B. came on Saturday and took Beverly home for good.

Like we said - Beverly has never met a stranger, but it seemed especially easy for her to strut to the car with her new Mama and hop in like she'd done it forever.

Recent reports say it's going better than even we dared dream.

Our very best wishes. Mary and Beverly for many joyous years together.

RFA  5/2/09

Rotini.

Rotini

Rotini went home to Mark and Melissa Ranstrom - and brother, Zeke - of Billings.  What a hoot of a dog!  Enroute, he unearthed a newspaper, dog coats, leashes, toys, poop bags and an atlas in the back of the transport vehicles.  And he was delighted when he found he could pull out the seat belt and watch it retract!

He was welcomed into his new home with open arms and was overjoyed to find he has his own kids!  We're thinking this boy is going to provide many years of joy in his retirement.

Welcome home, Rotini!

4/11/09

Holly.

Holly (JDC Holy Water)

Holly has gone home to Julie & Pat of Great Falls.  She is gh Fred's new sister and seems to be fitting in just fine. She will undoubtedly have a stylish coat and collar for each holiday and several beds to choose from.

Thanks Julie & Pat.  Welcome home, Holly!

4/4/09

Tildey.

Tildey  (J's Tildey)

Our Tildey got her wish at last!

On Valentine's Day she got into the shower with foster mom, Carol (albeit somewhat reluctantly) and got all spiffed up for her introduction to John & Pam, her new parents.

Now she has a last name, a gh brother named Blu (with whom she's gradually starting to play), and a home of her own in Billings.

John & Pam also report that she's a smart little cookie.  As a new civilian, she's already figured out that hardwood floors require smaller steps, and stairs are a snap.

Welcome home, Tildey!

2/15/09

Lily.

Lily (Vixen)

Our little lurcher, now known as Lily has found true love with the Bergers of Great Falls.

We thank you for offering her your name and a home of her own.

Congratulations Lily!

1/19/09

Jack.

Jack  (Redsmoke Jack)

Here's what we'd heard about our foster boy in Bozeman:

"Jack, is super happy and has really made himself at home!"

"Nikki and Jack are a match made in heaven."

And this morning we got the best news of all:

"Jack has a home to call his own, and Sharon (aka foster mom) has made it possible!!!"

Wooohooo!  Welcome home Jack!

1/18/09
